Bas-Relief Generator: from Image to 3D Relief

Upload a photo, drawing or logo — the neural network builds a relief 3D plate with a flat base, ready for 3D printing, CNC milling or mold making.

Image at least 1000 px on the longer side (JPG, PNG, WebP, up to 20 MB). One generation costs 1 credit.

Accurate volume from the photo — best for portraits, sculptures and product photos.
Sculptural stylization with soft edges — best for drawings, logos and stylized art.

3 free generations after sign-up, then 1 per day

  • Works with: photos, drawings and logos
  • Output format: STL
  • Average time: about 1 minute
  • Use for: 3D printing, CNC, molds and decor

How it works

1

Upload an image

Use an image of at least 1000 px on the longer side: a portrait, an object photo, a drawing or a logo.

2

Pick a method

Method 1 reproduces the volume of a photo more accurately. Method 2 creates a softer sculptural stylization.

3

Get your 3D model

Preview the result, download the STL and use the model for printing or production.

What is a bas-relief?

A bas-relief is a sculptural image raised above a flat background. The format is used in decorative panels, memorial plaques, souvenirs, architectural elements and casting molds.

The generator estimates the depth of the image and turns it into a 3D bas-relief model with a base and relief, ready for further production: a 2 mm base plate with up to 4 mm of relief, a watertight mesh that prints without supports.

Use cases

Two generation methods

Method 1 — accurate volume from a photo

Best for portraits, sculptures, object photos and images where depth and shape matter most.

Method 2 — sculptural stylization with soft edges

Best for drawings, logos, emblems and stylized images where a clean decorative shape matters.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of image works best?

Sharp images of at least 1000 px on the longer side work best: portraits, object photos, drawings and logos. The cleaner the silhouette and the clearer the details, the more stable the result.

What is the difference between the two methods?

Method 1 reproduces the volume of a photo more accurately and suits portraits and objects. Method 2 creates a softer sculptural stylization and works well with drawings, logos and decorative images.

What files do I get?

After generation you can preview the 3D bas-relief model and download the result as an STL file.

Is the model suitable for 3D printing?

Yes. The mesh is watertight with a flat base and usually prints without supports. Before printing, check the scale, base thickness, orientation and settings for your printer and material.

Can I use the result for CNC or molds?

In many cases the model can serve as a base for milling, master models, molds and decorative production. Verify final manufacturability for your specific equipment.

How long does generation take?

The result is usually ready in about a minute. Time may vary with load and image complexity.

Which images work poorly?

Blurry, very dark and noisy images are harder to process, as are images with a cluttered background and weak separation of the main subject.

Can I make a bas-relief from a logo?

Yes. For logos, emblems and monograms Method 2 usually works best — it forms a clean decorative relief with soft edges.

Can I make a bas-relief from a drawing?

Yes. The generator works with graphics and decorative compositions. Use a large image with clearly readable outlines.

Do I need 3D modeling skills?

No. The generator creates a base 3D model automatically. If needed, you can refine it later in a 3D editor.
